Light brings the difference between day and night. It breeds life, dazzles everything and changes the world. Scientists have discussed the nature of light for centuries. Today people's curiosity about light has not stopped. On the afternoon of October 18, 2019, the student association of Harbin University of Engineering of the American Academy of Optics entered the classroom and led the students to explore the mystery of the light world.
The course begins with a brief introduction to the Photon Material Subject Group hosting the event and the Harvard Engineering Student Association of the American Academy of Optics，which is made by Yudie Huang. Then let the students feel the light in life, prove the profound impact of light on nature and human life, and then enter the teaching stage, which is divided into four parts.
In the first part, Zhihang Wang specifically describes the nature of light and the phenomenon that light produces in the macro.
In the second part, Yudie Huang introduces the mechanism by which the human eye can see color. Shiyao Jia expanded the way of color generation by introducing structural color imaging.
In the third part, Zibei Li explores the application of light as an energy in production and life
In the fourth part, Jiaxu Chen and Fanzhou Lv bring four interesting light experiments and the mystery of the students' community refraction.
This lesson mainly focuses on light perception, which stimulates students'interest in further research on light. In the whole lesson, the students showed great enthusiasm, were diligent in thinking, and had a certain understanding of the complexity of light.
Science is human thinking about nature. Lights up children's curiosity about the world, and allows them to focus on the world, science and set free the rein of their minds as they grow up. Sow a seed, scatter with the wind somewhere in your heart, the future will certainly blossom in an unknown diffuse.
